The Audi Q5, Audi’s best-selling vehicle, has achieved widespread acclaim for its optimal blend of comfort and performance. First introduced in 2009, the upcoming 2025 Audi Q5 promises exciting updates to both its exterior and interior design. Enthusiasts are particularly anticipating potential enhancements under the hood. Anticipating improvements that will further elevate its performance capabilities.
Additionally, the forthcoming model is set to address a significant concern from the previous version by introducing enhancements to the 8-speed gearbox. Ensuring a smoother and more responsive driving experience. In a fiercely competitive market, the Audi Q5 stands poised to rival top contenders. The BMW X3 notably serves as its primary competition. As Audi continues to evolve its popular Q5 series, drivers can anticipate a harmonious blend of cutting-edge design, advanced technology, and refined performance.
Audi is gearing up for an extensive redesign of the Q5 for the anticipated 2025 model year, introducing exciting updates to both its interior and exterior. The forthcoming model is set to showcase a revitalized interior aesthetic, featuring futuristic headlights that will undoubtedly contribute to a fresh, modern look. Enthusiasts can also look forward to a redesigned daytime light signature, adding to the vehicle’s overall appeal.
Notably, the front fascia is expected to transform, adopting a more assertive and aggressive appearance that aligns with Audi’s commitment to cutting-edge design. To complement these changes, Audi will be introducing a new wheel design for the 2025 Audi Q5, enhancing both its performance and visual allure.
Moreover, Audi enthusiasts will have the pleasure of exploring an expanded palette of exterior color options, allowing for a more personalized and stylish driving experience. As part of Audi’s commitment to versatility, it’s worth noting that the 2025 Audi Q5 will be available in two distinct models: the standard version and the Sportback variant, with the latter offering a more coupe-style design. This dual offering caters to a diverse range of preferences, ensuring that Audi enthusiasts can choose a model that perfectly aligns with their lifestyle and aesthetic preferences.
The hybrid model will be equipped with a 4-cylinder engine that will be paired with an electric motor. This combination will produce 370 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. It will come equipped with an Audi Quattro all-wheel drive. This model will go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, and the maximum speed will be electronically limited to 150 mph.
The main specification of hybrid cars is their fuel consumption. And we expect Audi to bring improvements to that segment. Previously, mixed consumption was around 26 MPG, and we expect improvement up to 30 MPG. Also, this model will come with 25 miles of electric range.
The towing capacity for standard models will be 4400 pounds, and for a hybrid, we expect up to 2500 pounds of maximum towing rate.
The interior of the upcoming 2025 Audi Q5 will offer plenty of room for drivers and passengers. Also, it will come with a lot of additional tech and safety features. But the main focus will be to offer a comfortable ride for up to five passengers.
For the 2025 model, we expect to see a redesigned center console with a 12-inch infotainment system. The new leather seats will come with options for heating and cooling. The new driver display will also be changed. And it will gain a new, more modern look.
This model will also come with plenty of safe features. Some of them will come as standard, and some will be reserved for a more expensive trim. The standard safety features will include. A sign reorganization, pedestrian warning, and blind spot monitoring. Lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and collision warning. Premium features will include a 360° camera, premium satellite navigation, and emergency braking.
This model will start at $46.000 for a base trim called Premium 40. And the price will go to $68.000 for a premium Prestige PHEV model. The cheapest hybrid model will be the Premium 55 PHEV, which will come in at $55,000.
The release date of this model is not yet known, but we guess it will hit the dealership at the end of 2024.
Competition for this model will include a new BMW X3 that will offer better handling and driving capabilities. The next competitor will be the Mercedes-Benz GLC, which will offer a better interior but at a higher cost.
Also, there are rivals like the Cadilac XT5 and Volvo XC60 that are solid picks in this class.
The competition in this small SUV segment will be fierce, but the previous Q5 hit the balance between luxury and sportiness and offered a good middle ground between the BMW X3 and Mercedes GLC.
Also, with the improvements that Audi is preparing for the upcoming model, we expect sales results to be even better. With the improved handling of new interior and exterior trim, we can’t wait for a new model to be introduced.
