2025 BMW X5 – Small Changes, BIG Impact!

The BMW X5 stands out as one of the favored SUVs in BMW’s collection, earning its popularity through a harmonious combination of strong performance and impressive driving features coupled with a roomy and comfortable interior. The previous year’s model underwent a mid-cycle refresh, indicating that significant alterations for the 2025 BMW X5 are unlikely. Nevertheless, we anticipate some modifications to the forthcoming model as BMW strives to maintain the appeal of this vehicle for potential buyers.

The new BMW X5 will meet fierce competition like the Porsche Cayenne and the Genesis GV80. The starting price of the Cayenne will be higher, but it will offer better driving capabilities and a more attractive design. The Genesis GV80 starting price will be cheaper, and it will offer better driving capabilities. On higher-end trims, BMW will offer their V8 mill, and that will make this model more interesting for people who want a sporty ride.

2025 BMW X5 Specifications

The upcoming 2025 BMW X5 is set to impress with a range of engine options catering to various preferences. The base 40 models will be equipped with a robust 335-horsepower inline-6 engine, seamlessly mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Stepping up the power game, the xDrive50 models will boast a more potent 375-horsepower engine.

At the zenith of performance, the M60 variant will steal the spotlight, showcasing a formidable 530 horsepower twin-turbo V8 engine that propels the vehicle from 0 to 60 mph in an exhilarating under 3.8 seconds. The 2025 X5 will offer flexibility with its drivetrain options, allowing for both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. Some models will even feature the advanced X Drive system for enhanced traction and control in varying conditions.

A noteworthy improvement in the 2025 BMW X5 lies in its driving capabilities, attributed to an upgraded suspension system. This enhancement ensures a smoother and more responsive driving experience, solidifying the X5’s position as a dynamic and sophisticated SUV in the BMW lineup. With its diverse engine lineup and technological advancements, the 2025 BMW X5 is poised to cater to the preferences of discerning drivers seeking a perfect blend of power, performance, and driving comfort.

2025 BMW X5 Changes

As we already mentioned, the upcoming X5 will not have any major changes. But we expect that BMW will make some changes to keep this model interesting.

The changes we expect for a 2025 BMW X5 are. The newly redesigned grill will be paired with a more attractive front lighting group. Also, we hope that we will see a front and rear bumper redesign and new rim options. The car software will also be updated, and we can expect to see new functions, including new safety features. Also, there are changes that we expect to be under the hood. The hybrid engines will get more electric range, and they will become more potent.
The center console should receive a redesign, and we will find a bigger screen.

2025 BMW X5 PHEV

The 2025 BMW X5 will come with an improved PHEV powertrain. This new engine will produce more horsepower, be more economical, and offer more electric drive. Also, there will be two variations of the PHEV engine. The 3.0 liters will be paired with an electric motor, and it will produce 375 horsepower. And V8 4.4 liters that will be paired with a 48-volt hybrid system that will produce 530 horsepower. This impressive powertrain will be paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox, and it will come with an advanced all-wheel drive system.
The hybrid version will offer up to 40 miles of just electric range.
Also, the PHEV models will offer interesting interior and exterior changes. The front facia will receive a special grill redesign that will reduce air resistance. And the interior will be improved with the Drive 8.5 software.

The fuel economy for this model is expected to be lower than the previous one. The less potent engine will provide 23 MPG in the city and 25 on the highway. And a stronger mill should be good for 17 MPG in the city and 22 MPG on the highway.

Price and Release Date

The starting price for this model will start at $69.000 and go up to $91.000. Depending on customer preferences and the models they choose, the new BMW X5 will offer a huge level of customizability, so customers can choose the features they need.

The best model, in our opinion, will be the xDrive50e, and it will offer a powerful PHEV powertrain with a comfortable and luxurious interior. This model’s base price will start at around $72.000 and go up to $77.000 for a specced-out model.

The release date is not yet known, but rumors suggest that we will see it in Q3 of 2024.
