There is a huge chance that Toyota will re-enter the American SUV market with the reintroduction of the Land Cruiser. Taking inspiration from its smaller counterpart, the 2024 Lexus GX. The hiatus experienced by the Land Cruiser in the USA in 2021, attributed to sluggish sales, is expected to be swiftly overcome with the introduction of a thoroughly revitalized model. Anticipation is mounting for the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser, which is projected to mark the dawn of a new era for this iconic SUV.

2025 Toyota Land Cruiser Interior

The new 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser will feature a modern interior with plenty of technology and safety features. This model will come just as a 5-seater, and it will offer a lot of comfort and plenty of room for an SUV of this size. The interior will depend on a lot of trims that customers will pick. Standardly, it will come with an 8-inch info-intertainment screen, and bigger end trims will get an upgrade to a 12.3-inch. Also, top-tier trims will get an improved 14-speaker system that is made by JBL. The 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser will probably be available in four trims. Starting from a base trim called 1958, then Standard and First Edition, The top-tier off-road trim will be called TRD Pro.

All the models will be equipped with modern connectivity features like Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Also on higher-end trims, we will find a wireless charging pad on the center console. And in base trims, it will be just type C ports with an option for fast charging.
The 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser will come equipped with satellite navigation and the latest safety Toyota software. And plenty of other tech features that will make a driver’s life easier.

2025 Toyota Land Cruiser Specs

The 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser will come with multiple powertrains available. Also, it will be available as a hybrid, and it is rumored that it will be offered with a diesel engine.

The base engine that this model will offer will be a turbocharged 2.4-liter mill that will be able to produce up to 230 horsepower with 250 pound-feet of torque. Also, there will be a stronger gasoline variant with a powerful V6 engine that will be able to produce 270 horsepower and 289 pound-feet of torque. Standard gasoline models will be available with a 10-speed automatic gearbox and rear-wheel drive as standard. All-wheel drive will come as an option with a stronger powertrain. The maximum towing rate for this model will be around 6500 pounds.
The hybrid model will use a familiar 2.4-liter I-Force plant. It will come with just an all-wheel drive, and it will be paired with a new transmission. That will be specially adapted for a hybrid transmission.
The power of this model will be rated at 340 horsepower, and it will have around 350 pound-feet of torque. The hybrid model will be able to tow up to 5,000 pounds.

2025 Toyota Land Cruiser TRD Pro

This will be the most offroad-capable model that will be offered as a 2025 Land Cruiser.
The TRD Pro will be designed with one mission in mind, which is to conquer any terrain with ease. It will be equipped with the most powerful powertrain that will be available for this model. The Mighty V6 with its 270 horsepower will come on 33-inch all-terrain tires. That will be connected to the engine through a 10-speed automatic gearbox. This trim will come with a rear locking differential and offroad suspension. Also, it will be lifted 2 inches from a regular model, and this will help this model have a better approaching and departure angle.
Also, some of the exterior upgrades will include underbody protection, a side rock guard, and a special front and rear bumper.

Price and Release Date

The starting price for this model should be around $47.000 and go up to $55.000 for top-tier trims like TRD Pro.
Hybrid models will start at $51.000, and our choice for the best trim, called Standard, will start at $50.000.
The release date is not yet officially confirmed, but we expect to see this model in the second quarter of 2024.
